The European Space Agency established the ESA Academy Academic Scholarship Programme with the aim to support students in pursuing space-related higher education studies. The award facilitates access to space-related European academic programmes to students from ESA Member and Associated States, to create the skilled workforce necessary to implement space programmes, both in governmental organisations and in the European space industry.

The scholarship generously provides the full amount of tuitions fees, £32,510 for international students, £11,740 for home students, for the selected student who meets the eligibility criteria for the 2025-26 academic year.

Who can apply?

This scholarship is only for students undertaking the MSc Space Engineering programme.

Students must not be in receipt of Erasmus funding or the recipient of any additional financial aid regarding tuition fees for the degree programme.

Eligible nationalities

Open to students with the following nationalities: Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom

How to Apply

Please apply for the MSc Space Engineering programme via the SITS portal. Your eligibility will be assessed upon receipt of your course application.
