Module Selection Form - Autumn 2020

As an Erasmus/Exchange student at the University of Birmingham, there is a large choice of modules you can take from within four Colleges.* Please click on 'Schools, institutes and departments' in the grey menu at the bottom of this page to understand which Schools are in each College.

*Programmes in the College of Medical and Dental Sciences are not available to exchange students.

The first step is for you to identify modules available in your 'preferred College', as you identified on your application form. At least 40 out of the 60 UK credits per semester should be selected within your preferred College, but can be in multiple Schools within that College. At the University of Birmingham, we also offer you the flexibility to study modules in one or two optional College(s) for up to 20 credits per semester and you will be able to choose the module from your 'optional College(s)' upon your arrival.

All modules listed are subject to availability. Some modules do require some previous experience of study, and your application will be reviewed to see if you are suitable. You must indicate your module choices in order of preference and indicate if your choices are compulsory (absolutely necessary for your home university study plan) or optional.

Module levels available to exchange students are Certificate (year 1), Intermediate (year 2), or Honours (year 3). Only select Honours level modules if you already have a strong understanding of the subject. Postgraduate level modules are only available on a case by case basis once the application has been confirmed by the relevant Schools.

Please be aware that being registered onto modules is dependent on you being unconditionally accepted by the University of Birmingham.
