There are plenty of hotels in Birmingham and near to the University, as well as guest houses and Bed and Breakfasts (B&Bs). Guest houses and B&Bs are often smaller than hotels and may offer limited services (e.g. no restaurant), or may expect you to be out during the day. Check when booking to make sure the accommodation suits your needs.
