The Hon. Clare Short MP will give a public lecture at the University of Birmingham on Monday 3rd September, as part of a Global Social Justice Conference.
The Ladywood MP will deliver the address entitled 'Global Social Justice – a Pre-requisite for Human Survival'.
The Global Social Justice Conference is jointly hosted by the Centre for the Study for Global Ethics, Department of Philosophy, the Department of Political Science and International Studies and the Global Studies Association, at the University of Birmingham.
Dr Nicola Smith, Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and International Studies at the University, said: “We’re delighted to be hosting the ‘Global Social Justice in Theory and Practice’ conference here at the University of Birmingham. It brings together students, scholars and activists from across the world to discuss a whole variety of themes ranging from theories of justice and human rights to scientific, technological and bioethical issues of justice.”
The lecture begins at 5.30pm and takes place at the European Research Institute (G51).
