The Barclays Premiership Trophy will come onto campus today, as the University kicks off some serious fundraising for the homeless.
The arrival of the cup at the University is the focus of a day of charitable fundraising that is taking place across the University to raise cash for the Homeless World Cup, an event co-founded by Big Issue founder Mel Young.
Staff and students will have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the trophy for a donation of £5.
The Premiership Trophy will spend the day at the University, starting off at the Guild of Students in the morning, before heading to the Munrow Sports Centre and the Medical School.
The Homeless World Cup is an annual, international football tournament, uniting teams of people who are homeless and excluded from around the world to change their lives for the better. It also supports and inspires grass roots football projects around the world working with homeless and excluded people throughout the year.
