Thousands of prospective students will be exploring their higher education options when they attend the University of Birmingham’s Open Days on Thursday 26 and Friday 27 June.
The event, which is open to anyone looking to enter into higher education, takes place from 10am to 3.30pm at the Edgbaston campus and will feature a range of displays and talks designed to help students with their future study and career choices.
The university attracts more than 15,000 visitors to its open days each year, showcasing the widest range of courses of any UK higher education institution. Visitors will learn more about the University and the courses offered by all academic schools and departments, while tours of the Edgbaston campus and University accommodation will also be on offer. Staff and current students will be on hand to help prospective students make an informed choice about their course and place of study, and to answer any questions that parents may have.
Marcus Williams, Deputy Director of Recruitment at the University of Birmingham, said: “Choosing the right course and the right place of study is a very important decision. Our June open days provide a good opportunity for students, parents and teachers to find out what this vibrant university and city have to offer."
The open day will feature a range of useful seminars covering a variety of topics for potential students and parents alike. Featured this year are ‘Tips for Applicants’, ‘Student Funding’, ‘Careers After Your Degree' and many more.
