The European College of Sport Science (ECSS) is an international non-profit organization founded in Nice, France in 1995. Its purpose is the promotion of science and research, with special attention to the interdisciplinary fields of sport science and sports medicine.

The School of Sport and Exercise Sciences here at the University of Birmingham has a strong involvement with the ECSS. Professor Anton Wagenmakers, Head of School, is the Chair of the ECSS Scientific Board for the UK. Sarah Jackman, who is interviewed as part of this film, is one of our recent PhD students.
