The Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond MP, will visit the University of Birmingham's Centre for Railway Research and Education on Wednesday 8th June at 2.15pm.

The Secretary of State for Transport, Philip Hammond MP, will visit the University of Birmingham’s Centre for Railway Research and Education on Wednesday 8th June at 2.15pm.

He will be met by Chris Baker, Professor of Environmental Fluid Mechanics and Felix Schmid, Associate Professor in Railway Systems Engineering and will be shown a rotating rail rig, condition monitoring trials, the energy laboratory and cross rail slab track trials during a tour of the facility.
