Dr Francesco Michelangeli and Dr Jeremy Pritchard of the School of Biosciences are both speakers at the forthcoming Joint Biochemical Society / FEBS Workshop, Innovations in molecular bioscience education. The workshop, which takes place on 17–18 December 2012 at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, aims, through lectures, demonstrations, group discussion and posters sessions, to share novel ideas and approaches with bioscience educators, to enhance the student experience and potentially to improve their employment prospects.

Topics are to include:

• Improving student engagement
• The acquisition of key generic and scientific skills
• Student assessment and feedback
• Careers and improving employability
