Doctoral researcher Dinesh Ramoo (pictured) has been chosen as one of the six students sponsored by the British Science Association to represent the University at the British Science Festival in Aberdeen. He will be attending the event with four other doctoral researchers from Cancer Research and one from Biology. They will be attending the one week festival with events that include Brian Cox’s “Quantum Universe”, Richard Wiseman’s “Sweet Dreams” and Bill Bryson’s take on popular science among a plethora workshops, talks and events. This will be an opportunity for these students and the University to further their understanding in public engagement and knowledge transfer. It will give us an insight into how different institutions use the media and other means to create public interest in science and its impact on society.
