Dr Marianne Wade on Judicial Control of Europol by the ECJ

Senior lecturer and Director of the Institute of Judicial Administration to speak at "Making Europe Safer: Europol at the Heart of European Security Architecture?" conference

Dr Marianne Wade is speaking on the topic of judicial control of Europol by the European Court of Justice at a major conference that takes place on 18-19 June 2012..

The conference is entitled "Making Europe Safer: Europol at the Heart of European Security Architecture?" and is co-hosted by Europol and the European Law Academy and takes place at Europol's new headquarters in the Hague.

The conference is to review a number of facets of Europol's role as a European agency/the European policing body with Marianne's paper exploring the need for and questioning the adequacy of provision for accountability foreseen thus far. It will be attended by academics, law enforcement officers, politicians and practitioners from across Europe

Dr Marianne Wade is a senior lecturer at Birmingham Law School and the Director of our Institute of Judicial Administration.
