Dr Wade was invited by the Greens/EFA Group to contribute to the debate on combating organised crime, enhancing judicial cooperation and protecting fundamental rights in the European Union.

Dr Marianne Wade is a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Law School, where her activities currently focus on European criminal law and criminal justice as well as prosecutors and terrorism. She has provided the expert advice to the German Federal and State Committee of Data Protection Commissioners, the Rule of Law Delegation of the OSCE Spillover Mission to Skopje, the international prosecutor’s office of the ECCC, the UNDP’s POGAR conference, the President of the German Prosecutor-Generals’ working group and the Dutch Ministry of Justice.
Dr Wade is the Director of Birmingham's Institute of Judicial Administration.
