Promoting the teaching of poetry

Dr Kay Fuller recently attended the ESRC funded Poetry Matters seminar at the University of Leicester. Academics interested in teaching poetry across the country and internationally have been working together on a series of seminars across a 12 month period at the Universities of Exeter, Greenwich and Leicester. Kay was invited as someone who is specifically promoting the teaching of poetry on a PGDipEd course and in schools generally. She was delighted that there were findings that she has already incorporated into her teaching session about teaching reading!
