Careers Network celebrated a double win at the RateMyPlacement fourth annual National Placement & Internship Awards 2013.

The first award won on the night was ‘Best University Careers Service’, where the University of Birmingham was praised for the breadth and depth of the work experience offering, its college-tailored approach and for its high profile Global Challenge Internships and the Alumni Leadership Mentoring Programme.

Careers Network offers an extensive range of support for its students, from its five dedicated Internship Officers sourcing work experience opportunities, mentoring support provided by Birmingham alumni and a range of bursaries designed to enable students to fund work experience that they might otherwise not be able to afford.

In addition to winning ‘Best University Careers Service’, one of Careers Network’s Internship Officers, Andy Newnham, was awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to Work Experience’ for his dedicated and innovative approach to promoting work experience to University of Birmingham students.
