The Centre for Professional Legal Education and Research is pleased to announce it has been awarded funding for Dr Julian Lonbay’s input into a three year study led by the School of Education. Dr Lonbay is a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Law School and specialises in the law relating to education, lawyers and other professionals.

The research, Virtue, Values and Decision-Making in Three Professions in the UK in the 21st Century, examines the influence of early professional education on future values and beliefs in doctors, lawyers and teachers. The project focuses on entrants to the profession and their educators, and those who have been in practice for ten years or more and aims to gain understanding of factors that influence changing beliefs.
