Dr Paramaconi Rodriguez joins the School of Chemistry as a Birmingham Fellow
Para has been working in the Electrocatalysis and Interfaces group in the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Switzerland and before that was a postdoctoral researcher in the University of Leiden in the group of Prof Mark Koper.
His research focuses on the development of electrochemical technologies, the design of new functional nanomaterials and the understanding of electrochemical reactions at a molecular level. His aim is to improve the performance of energy devices, such as Polymer Electrolyte Fuel Cells (PEFC) and lithium batteries, as well as develop electrochemical methods for waste water treatment and the creation of fuel from CO2.
