Founded in 1365, the institution is the oldest university in the German-speaking world and enjoys an outstanding international reputation. Dr Godsland's Guest Lecture examined strategies for the portrayal and interrogation of heterosexual intimate partner violence (IPV or 'domestic' violence) deployed in Icíar Bollaín’s movie, Te doy mis ojos. Cultural responses to this particular form of gender aggression have been analysed by Dr Godsland in articles published in world-leading journals such as Anales de la literatura española contemporánea (ALEC) and Hispania.
