Now in its fourth year, the event brings together academics and writers of crime fiction from around the globe and attracts a very large broad-based audience comprising international and local scholars, students and local final-year school pupils, as well as many members of the general public. In addition to contributing to the internationalisation of the University of Birmingham, Dr Godsland's participation in the conference also adds to the university's Knowledge Transfer strategies, and her research has impact far beyond the usual immediate academic context.
