Elli Chatzopoulou was awarded the ‘Top Poster Award’ from the EuCheMS Division of Organic Chemistry at the 5th EuCheMS biannual European Chemistry Congress in Istanbul (September 2014) for her poster: ''Highly regioselective synthesis of 2,4,5-(hetero)aryl substituted oxazoles by intermolecular [3+2]-cycloaddition of unsymmetrical internal alkynes''.

Elli is currently a 3rd year doctoral research student working with Dr Paul Davies and her trip to the EuCheMS conference was supported by the award of a travel bursary from the RSC. Her paper on this work is here.
