Birmingham Law School is inviting applications for AHRC funding from prospective UK/EU PhD students whose research interests include:

The deadline for AHRC funding applications is 14 January 2015, at which time students must have applied for a place to study and have provided details of two references. The funding application should normally be submitted at the same time as the application for a place to study. As well as providing expert supervision from an experienced member of staff, the School cultivates a friendly and supportive environment for its community of research students.

The Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership is a collaboration between the universities of Birmingham Leicester, Nottingham, De Montfort, Birmingham City and Nottingham Trent. The DTP is in the second of five years, awarding 87 PhD Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) studentships for UK/EU applicants for 2015 entry.

Nominations for ESRC funding for study starting in September 2015 are now open for applicants interested in pursuing doctoral research on the socio-legal pathway. Full details of this competition are available here 

To be eligible for funding you will also need to have made a formal application to the University of Birmingham for the course of study you wish to undertake by the deadline. The deadline for submission of applications is Friday 30 January 2015 at 4pm.
