Paul Warmington has contributed a chapter to a new international collection of writing on education and social justice published by Routledge. The book is titled Discerning Critical Hope in Educational Practices, edited by Vivienne Bozalek et al, with a foreword by Michael Apple. Paul’s chapter ‘Agents of critical hope: black British narratives’ examines black education movements in post-war Britain, emphasising black British communities’ social agency and tensions between education as a site of race-class inequalities and as a site of liberation and solidarity.

Paul’s book Black British Intellectuals and Education will be published by Routledge in March 2014.
