This week Prof. Rob Stone returned from Spain to present a paper entitled 'Basque Heritage Cinema: History, Politics, Art as part of the Hispanic and Lusophone Research Seminars at the University of Cambridge.
Prof. Rob Stone was invited to screen his documentary 'Basque Heritage Cinema' at the University of Cambridge on January 29.
The well-attended event included a talk by Professor Stone on his current, Leverhulme Trust funded research into Basque cinema and a post-screening discussion with Professor Stone and Dr Axel Bangert, who was the AHRC-funded research assistant on the Screening European Heritage project and cameraman for the documentary. Professor Stone has also recently been appointed to the advisory board of the new Mediático website that is dedicated to Hispanic and Lusophone cinema and associated with ReFrame at the University of Sussex. Stone's documentary and several of his video essays will soon be featured on the website.
