Kevin Gell – Doctor of Science (Wednesday 10 December, 10.30)
Kevin Gell is the founder of Tessella, an international analytics, software services and consultancy company, which was the recipient of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation in 2011. Following his degree in Physics from Birmingham in 1970, Kevin worked for IBM before establishing Tessella in 1980, initially to provide systems support for IBM mainframes. Kevin is a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and the Institute of Physics, a Chartered Engineer and a Chartered Management Accountant.
