26 year-12 pupils from schools all around Birmingham join the Institute of Microbiology and Infection this week to experience lab work and microbial science first hand. Sessions will run throughout the week, and students will get a chance to explore the unseen world of bacteria, and learn about both harmful and harmless bacteria and how antibiotic resistance arises, in a series of fun, practical activities.

This is the second year that the course, organised by Dave Lee and Anne-Marie Krachler, has run and we are looking forward to repeating last year’s success this week and in years to come.
