Carol Murphy joined the School of Biosciences on 1 July 2015, from the University of Ioannina in Greece, as a Senior Lecturer in Advanced Biological Imaging. Her main interest focuses on the role of the endocytic pathway in TGF-b/Activin receptor signalling due to their involvement in angiogenesis, carcinogenesis and development. She is especially interested in understanding the role of endocytic trafficking during pluripotency and differentiation and therefore uses human embryonic stem cells, human induced pluripotent stem cells and mature primary endothelial cells.
