Study 1
The team are looking for teenagers between the ages of 13-17 to take part in a one-hour experiment. The experiment will involve two computer-based tasks where you will have to choose between some pictures as fast as you can. There will also be a couple of questionnaires to complete. You will be given £6 for taking part (plus up to £5 extra depending on your performance during the tasks).
Study 2
The second experiment is also looking for teenagers between the ages of 13-17. It will also involve two computer-based tasks similar to study 1. This experiment will last around two hours and will involve EEG. EEG is a non-invasive and painless technique for recording brain activity. For taking part in this study you will be given £14 (plus up to £5 extra depending on your performance in the tasks).
You can help out in either study if you:
Teenagers interested in taking part will need to attend the session with a parent/guardian who will need to provide consent for the adolescent to take part. All data collected during the session will be stored anonymously.
If you are interested in taking part, know someone who fits the criteria or have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Daniel Dodgson (07813203731 or email dbd337@bham.ac.uk).
