Our Alumni have done some brilliant things in 2015, contributing to the life of the Business School and helping our students have a fantastic experience both as part of their studies and outside of them. So with Christmas songs in mind, here's a rundown of some of the things you have done for your school this year.

12 Alumni guest speakers. Alumni who are experts in their fields have delivered talks this semester, helping to enhance topics for students. Speakers included Craig Forrester, Chief Procurement Officer at Colt Technology Services, talking on change in organisations; Nicholas Teller, Advisory Board Chairman at E.R. Capital Holding giving his views on leadership; Richard Cox, Head of International at Fox's Biscuits talking on the challenges of working in international markets and David Glenwright, Head of Training at JC Social Media on Social Media analytics.

11 Teaching weeks in the Autumn semester where alumni have contributed their expertise to undergraduate, MSc and MBA programmes.

10 Alumni giving advice on living and working in Hong Kong as part of out International Alumni Guide series

9 Graduates interviewed for our Business School e-publications this year, including Kate Jones, David McGee and Justin Gruss.

8 New international alumni ambassadors. Ambassadors are available to give advice to prospective students interested in studying in Birmingham. They join 16 dedicated alumni ambassadors who give specific advice on the MBA.

7 Graduation ceremonies in July where we welcomed the newest members of our alumni community.

6 Singapore-based alumni giving their advice as part of our International Alumni Guide series.

5 Welcome week speakers. Thank you to the alumni who gave their time to speak at welcome events for new students in September and October.

4 Speed networking panellists who gave advice to students interested in finance careers back in November

3 Skills session speakers. Several of our alumni offered their time to students taking the Business School's new 'Skills Sessions' series - extra curricular events to help students develop the skills they will need for their future careers.

2 Alumni of the year. We were delighted that the University's two Alumni of the Year of 2015, James Eder and Billie Major, both have very strong links with the Business School.

...and 1 Distinguished Leader. Alumna Lucy Baldwin returned to campus in November to share her leadership journey at our Distinguished Leaders lecture.
