The 2015 National Student Survey has propelled the School of Biosciences at the University of Birmingham to the top ranks of the Russell Group of research universities.
In terms of overall satisfaction, our Biological Sciences students have voted their course to second place, while the Biochemistry course is now ranked 4th among Russell Group universities offering this course. Similarly favourable were the views on assessment and feedback, where Biological Sciences ranked 1st and Biochemistry ranked 4th.
Our portfolio of courses received scores of up to 100% overall student satisfaction* with our BSc Biological Sciences and BSc Human Biology courses at 96% respectively.
The School of Biosciences is fully committed to providing exciting and stimulating courses that prepare its graduates very well for a competitive job market. In fact, our Biosciences degrees are ranked in the top three nationally in terms of graduate prospects (The Complete University Guide 2016).
The annual survey captures the views of final year students of their course. It is the most comprehensive measure of student satisfaction within higher education.
