Dr Adam Schembri is a co-investigator on a new AHRC project, ‘A Broadly Usage-Based Account of British Sign Language Syntax’.
Led by principal investigator Dr Kearsy Cormier (University College London) and with Dr Jordan Fenlon (Heriot-Watt University) as a co-investigator, this project aims to document and describe word order and non-manual features in different types of British Sign Language (BSL) sentences.
The project is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council UK and will run for three years from December 2016. To find out more, please visit the project webpage: British Sign Language Syntax Project.
