Congratulations to Dr Sara Kenyon, Reader in Evidence Based Maternity Care at the University of Birmingham, whose paper ‘Managing Clinical Trials’ has been accessed over 80,000 times, making it the second most accessed paper in the journal Trials to date.
The journal, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary, is recapping on their most successful ever articles which includes Dr Kenyon’s paper.
The paper highlights the importance of managing clinical trials, including the key to a successful trial. It suggests that to improve the successful, timely delivery of important clinical trials for patient benefit, standard trial management guidelines and robust methods of evaluating their use need to be developed.
Dr Sara Kenyon commented, "The number of times this paper has been accessed highlights the need for more guidance and evidence in this important area."
Dr Kenyon is a midwife by background and a maternity researcher and policy maker. She currently leads a varied programme of applied health research.
