On 7 April 2016 the Third Sector Research Centre at the University of Birmingham hosted a conference on the future of community work in England in the light of the closures of the Community Development Foundation and Community Matters.

The aim of the event, attended by over 100 delegates, was to kick start thinking and action about the future of community work voice, learning and networks locally, regionally and nationally.

It is hoped that this event will enable others to take forward the ideas generated on the day.
