On 12 March 2016 we organised a public engagement event at the Library of Birmingham as part of the 2016 British Science Week: "Culture & Metaphor in Advertising" offered local people a fun and interactive way to understand the role of metaphor in everyday communication through a number of friendly talks, hands-on activities, and demonstrations.

Here it is a report of this event that Paula Perez Sobrino presented at the Marie Curie Symposium that was held at the University of Birmingham Research Park.
