Yu Hu

Post-doctoral researcher, Shanghai Jiao Tong University
PhD Civil Engineering, 2015

During my PhD I had the chance to undertake advanced research in Structural Engineering. Moreover I have practised my ability to research independently thus I can handle my current research in fatigue properties of concretes.

Currently, I have to continue my research in the area of fatigue behaviours of concrete structures. A lot of large-scale experiments and numerical simulations will be performed during my post-doctorate. In the meantime I have to lead several undergraduate students and master students as a principal investigator of the project.

My advice to current students studying on the degree programme is - be diligent and work hard.
