The British Council have recently released a short film of Professor Ewan Fernie talking about work on the topic of Shakespeare and freedom as well as why it’s a great time to study Shakespeare in the UK.
Professor Fernie (Chair of Shakespeare Studies and Fellow at The Shakespeare Institute) was selected as one of several Shakespeare academics and students to showcase Shakespeare scholarship and higher education in the UK on the occasion of the big Shakespeare anniversary of 2016.
Professor Fernie is also giving a public lecture, a televised interview and a masterclass in Belgrade for the British Council in March as part of the Shakespeare 2016 celebrations.
