'Milan crossroad of cultures' is a high-profile conference taking place at the University of Milan, in conjunction with the Universities of Birmingham and Warwick on 22-23 September 2016.
It is an international, interdisciplinary conference centering on the city of Milan as a hub for intellectuals, television, fashion and design. It is being run by one of Modern Languages (Italian Studies) PhD researchers, Marco Bellardi, in conjunction with colleagues in Warwick. The conference results from Marco’s own research, work being done at Warwick, and the research being done by Dr Clodagh Brook, Dr Emanuela Patti and others on the Interdisciplinary Italy 1900-2020: Interart/Intermedia project, funded by the AHRC. The conference has been recognised at the highest levels at Università degli Studi di Milano and it will be opened by the University’s Prorettore.
