We are delighted to announce that the British Academy has awarded Professor Sir Stanley Wells CBE the President’s Medal for his lifetime service to the study, knowledge and enjoyment of William Shakespeare.
Professor Sir Stanley is Honorary President of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Emeritus Professor of Shakespeare Studies at the University of Birmingham, and Honorary Emeritus Governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
