Professor Joan Duda, of the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences, has been successful in her application to become one of only 12 UK-Mexico Visiting Chairs. The posts were set up in an effort to increase research collaboration and strengthen relations between Higher Education Institutions in Mexico and the United Kingdom.
Professor Duda already enjoys a research collaboration with colleagues in the sport sciences within the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León (UANL), Northeastern Mexico. Furthermore she is a member of a network of researchers (called REDDECA) formed by her colleagues in the UANL which involves researchers and students from almost 20 institutions from Mexico as well as researchers from several universities in Spain. The Visiting Chair grant will enable her to visit potential collaborators at up to 3 of the 12 Mexican universities participating in the call.
