On 11th March 2017, the Marie Curie fellows Paula Pérez-Sobrino (English Language and Applied Linguistics, University of Birmingham) and Mariachiara Barzotto (Business School, University of Birmingham) organised an interactive workshop within the British Science Week 2017 entitled "The Millennial Apprentice: Naming the jobs of the future". This workshop -in quiz format- explored the new face of manufacturing. Two teams plus an audience put to test their social perceptions on manufacturing labour in the age of millennials and technology.
Paula Pérez-Sobrino presented the results of this outreach activity at the University of Birmingham on 6th June 2017. If you are interested in organising your own public dissemination events, you might find these slides useful.
