Dr Andrew Lovering, Senior Lecturer in the School of Biosciences, spoke in the Antibiotic Resistance symposium at the annual meeting of the American Society for Microbiology in New Orleans, Louisiana on 2 June 2017. The annual ASM Microbe symposium is the largest of its kind and showcases the best microbial sciences in the world.
Dr Lovering spoke as part of a well-attended session on Structural Basis of Antibiotic Mechanism of Action and Resistance. The title of his talk being Targeting the Bacterial Cell Wall: Lessons from the Bacterial Predator Bdellovibrio.
