Clinical Psychology Supervisor training at Aston Villa football ground

Clinical Psychology Supervisor training was recently held at Aston Villa football ground. This two day event was part of an annual 4 day Supervisor Training and Recognition programme which is held as a collaboration between the three regional Clinical Psychology courses, including courses at Staffordshire University and Coventry and Warwick University. Hosting were Dr Teresa Madurai and Dr Liz Kent (Clinical Tutors).

A range of presenters were invited to contribute, including members from the three Clinical Psychology course teams, Dr Teresa Powell (Programme Director for Birmingham Clinical Psychology course) and local clinicians.

Topics included: Leadership models and how to sign off leadership competencies; Ethical dilemmas in supervision; Attachment in supervision.

Over 40 attendees were present and the event received very positive feedback. Comments included:
