Leo Marshall has been awarded the Greek State Literary Translation Prize for his translation of Yannis Skarimbas’ novel Mariambas.
We are pleased to announce that Leo Marshall has been awarded the Greek State Literary Translation Prize (into the category of translating a Greek literary text in any language) for his translation of Yannis Skarimbas’ novel Mariambas (1935) published in the Birmingham Modern Greek Translations series edited by Dimitris Tziovas. Mariambas is a stylistically challenging text and this is its first translation into any language.
