The Centre for Corpus Research welcomes Dr Randall Sadler and Dr Xun Yan from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and Dr Jing Zhao from Fudan University, to Birmingham for a week of discussions.

The talks will run from 13-17 November  and will focus on a collaboration with the centre to create a new corpus of academic writing, provisionally called the Writing Development in Global Higher Education (WriDGHE) Corpus. The visit is funded by the Birmingham-Illinois BRIDGE seed fund, with Dr Paul Thompson and Dr Randall Sadler as the project leads.
