Matteo presented his most recent book published with Oxford University Press: “Taken for a Ride: Grounding Neoliberalism, Precarious Labour, and Public Transport in an African Metropolis”.

In this book, he analyses the growth of cities and their informal economies by charting Dar es Salaam’s public transport system and its journey from public to private provision.
