This week Dr Clare Ray talks about a great way to drive student involvement and therefore engagement during lectures: Polling Technology.

This is a brief overview of the benefits of Polling Software (Response Technology).  At the University of Birmingham we use TurningPoint Student Response Technology.  Please contact telhub@contacts.bham.ac.uk and request a license for a TurningPoint, you will then receive login instructions so you can begin using the software.

There are plans underway to integrate TurningPoint with the Single Sign On process so in the future you should be automatically logged into you TurningPoint account once you have a license.

For information on how to use this in the classroom, including step by step guides, please refer to the gateway course here.
