The University of Birmingham is among the top 50 places in the world to study in seven subjects, according to a prestigious global survey of universities.
And just months after Birmingham was chosen to host the 2022 Commonwealth Games, the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2018 again confirm that Birmingham is the fifth best university on the planet at which to study sports-related subjects.
We are proud of our pioneering approach to education in sport, exercise and rehabilitation sciences. In 1946, we became the first university in the UK to offer a degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences, and continue to lead the way with a specialist programme in Sport, Physical Education and Coaching Science. We have been at the forefront of physiotherapy education since the 1930s and today we rank first in The Complete University Guide 2018. Additionally our world-leading golf management degree offers the opportunity to apply for membership of The PGA.
