Dr Graham Wallace has won the prestigious Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) silver medal for his outstanding work within the field of vision and ophthalmology.
Dr Wallace, a Senior Lecturer in the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing, has been honoured and recognised by the ARVO as an ARVO fellow. The distinguished title includes Dr Wallace receiving a silver medal for his consistent service to both ARVO and the field of vision and ophthalmology.
The award is an accumulation of several years of service. This has included attending the annual congress of vision and ophthalmology meeting, organising and moderating sessions with different topics and speakers, co-chairing the Global Mentoring Scheme and continuing publication within the field of vision and ophthalmology.
ARVO is the largest and most respected eye and vision research organisation in the world with nearly 12,000 researchers/members from over 75 countries.
