Exciting PhD opportunities at IRiS are now available as part of the Global Challenges initiative at the University of Birmingham.
Successful candidates would work on one of the themes/projects below, supervised by a member of IRiS:
- Cities on the Edge: How to create welcoming, egalitarian, adaptable, flourishing cities of tomorrow (Dr L Goodson l.j.Goodson@bham.ac.uk , Prof A Green, Dr Rachel Humphris HumphriR@adf.bham.ac.uk )
- The structure of migrant integration in Europe: Overview across time, groups, and geographies (Dr L Lessard-Phillips L.Lessard-Philips@bham.ac.uk , Dr Z Gong)
- Understanding Child Protection and Culture (Prof J Taylor, Prof J Phillimore J.A.Phillimore@bham.ac.uk )
The studentships cover an annual stipend of £14,764, paid monthly and fees at UK/EU fee level of £4,270.
International students are encouraged to apply as selected international applicants may have extra funding from the School (this is at the school’s discretion).
