Birmingham Business School has successfully maintained its accreditation by AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) for a further 5 years, covering the School’s undergraduate, masters, MBA and doctoral programmes.

Through the rigorous AACSB review process, which took place in February, Birmingham Business School evidenced continuous improvement in engagement, innovation and impact, and met the AACSB values: quality, inclusion and diversity, a global mindset, ethics, social responsibility and community.

The fundamental purpose of AACSB accreditation is to challenge business educators to pursue excellence and continuous improvement in their business programmes. Accomplishing accreditation again is a significant achievement for the Business School, and telling of its commitment and dedication to delivering impactful business education.

Dean of the Business School, Professor Catherine Cassell commented, “I am delighted that AACSB have recognised the quality of education that Birmingham Business School offers, and our enduring commitment to enhancing the student experience. We are particularly pleased that the panel noted our commitment to responsible business that runs through all our activities.”

There are currently 836 business schools in 55 countries and territories that have earned AACSB accreditation. Birmingham Business School is world renowned for the quality of its research and teaching, and is amongst the elite five per cent of business schools globally that hold triple accreditation: AACSB, AMBA (Association of MBAs) and EQUIS (EFMD Quality Improvement System).
