Pianist Ceri Owen, the Department of Music’s new Director of Performance, gave a debut recital at London’s Wigmore Hall on 15 July 2019.
The Wigmore Hall is one of Europe's leading venues for the performance of song and chamber music. Pianist Ceri Owen, an award-winning song accompanist, recently appeared in recital at the Hall with her longstanding collaborator, baritone Dominic Sedgwick (a Jette Parker Young Artist at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden). Theirprogramme featured songs by George Butterworth, Claude Debussy, Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf, John Ireland, and Frank Bridge, and they shared the evening with the Marmen String Quartet.
