Professor Jocelyne Cesari discusses securitization of religion and its consequences on religious freedom in a webinar with the topic “Advancing Issues of Human rights and Religious Freedom” which took place on 14 August 2020.

Distinguished speakers for human rights participated in a webinar to speak on the advancement of issues of human rights and religious freedom in Asia Pacific organised by Human Rights Media.

Jocelyn Cesari is the Chair of Religion and Politics, Director of Research, Edward Cadbury Centre for the Public Understanding of Religion in University of Birmingham. She is also a Senior Fellow, Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs in Georgetown University. Lastly, Professor Cesari is the President of the European Academy of Religion.
